Indoor Air Quality Inspections

In the last couple of years, a growing number of scientific evidence has indicated that the air within our homes and buildings can be more seriously polluted compared to the outdoor air in some of the largest and most industrialized cities in the United States and the world. Many research have shown that people spend approximately 90 percent of their time indoors. The increase of risks to our health may be even greater due to exposure to pollution that are indoors compared to the outdoors.

We at Mineo Construction are trained to provide "Indoor Air Quality" inspections. We collect data through visual inspections and by using state-of-the-art instrumentation that measure indoor air pollutants. This data is immediately sent to Dove Environmental Laboratories, Inc. and analyzed.

Dove Environmental Laboratories, Inc. has over 13 years experience in Asbestos, Lead (Pb) analysis, Particulates Identification and microbiological testing (Molds/Fungi, Bacteria). Their laboratory is fully insured and has state of the art equipments for precise and accurate analysis.

Their personnel are well qualified, trained and task oriented. Their quality control and quality assurance program ensures that analysis meets strict professional standards. Their analyst(s) training comes from some of the top institutions in the United States, such as, McCrone Research Institute, Center for Disease Control (CDC), Pan American Aerobiological Association (PAAA), and other regions of the world. Our staff are academically qualified with degrees from AS, BS, MS, and PhD’s.

Protocol

If it is determined that a problem exist, Mineo Construction can find the origin of the problem and resolve it. A report is provided that details the investigation's findings and we will provide a protocol guideline for decontamination.

Thermal Mapping

By using our thermal cameras we can monitor and diagnose the condition of homes and commercial buildings in a noninvasive or destructive method. We can quickly identify problem areas that can't be seen by the naked eye - eliminating destructive probing methods. Results are captured and documented instantly and easily into professional reports - providing tangible proof of our findings. Remediation

Now we are ready for containment and decontamination. Mineo Construction can help address your concerns with confidence and assurance. Our remediation technicians are trained in working with the Anabec system.

The most important step in mold remediation and prevention is to be certain the moisture intrusion problem is corrected. Once you have appropriate moisture content, the first step in the Anabec process is to clean the surface you are treating. The Anabec Advanced Cleaning Solution is formulated to provide a surfactant with "mechanical action" that removes the food source from the material being treated. The second step is to apply one of our three barriers, to help prevent future growth of mold and bacteria.

Clearance Test

After we have contained and decontaminated the area(s)of bacteria and mold we take final test for clearance. Once cleared, we can begin the process of repairing the building envelope.
